I believe people are upset because some of the animation is "lazy," like the scene where king tells saitama that he's a fraud. The animators cut corners because they were rushed.

OPM changes animation style frequently, usually in Saitama's face. You can see that his face is always lazily drawn, pretty goofy looking, and expressionless most of the time, but once he starts to feel some emotion, be it anger or excitement or smugness, he gets much more detailed features. This is typically the case for this show, to build the mood of a certain scene.

After all the contrived plots and death fake outs, the 'loose cannon' seems to be the only one who could follow through with plans and deals. I wish Soldier Boy turned on Butcher because it's so insulting that they barely let him do anything but toss those dumdums around before throwing his entire plot, screentime and character build up out the window...and no one died!
